The Traffic Code was revised three times during this decade: in 1990, in 1992, thirty years after its adoption in Greece, and in 1999. The first Traffic Code was established and entered into force in 1962, modelled on the corresponding Italian Traffic Code. In addition, the first Traffic Code (Law 4233/1962) was based on the key provisions of the International Geneva Convention of 1948 on road traffic.

Half way into the 1981-1990 decade, Nic. J. Theocarakis S.A. celebrated Nissan’s 25th anniversary in Greece. If we count the combined sales of passenger cars and light trucks, Nic. J. Theocarakis S.A. was at
the top of the market without exemption between 1981 and 1993.
