All together, more than 170,000 cars were manufactured, although the company’s production was at a lower pace than its full capacity - which was 36,000 units in two shifts. Production cost was high, state orders were limited and there was a small volume of exports - 600 cars
to Ireland - while there was a ceiling to the volume potential of the Greek market.
In 1990, TEOCAR S.A., according to the Japanese,
was a model assembly plant and was placed at the forefront of all Nissan assembly lines, while a year earlier
