upward trend of the car market in our country, at the same time setting the tone for the relevant developments in the structural characteristics of the market. Thus, the company entered a new phase in its history.
Exactly this credibility and manufacturing quality of the various Nissan models that
Nic. J. Theocarakis S.A. offers in the Greek market is proven by the numerous successful participations of the company’s Racing Department, Nissan Sporteam, in car races in Greece from 1976 and for a period of more than thirty years.
Electric and sustainable mobility, hybrid vehicles, intelligent driving technologies and autonomous driving are challenges to which Nic. J. Theocarakis S.A. is already actively and deeply engaged in. In 2011, for example, the same year that the first mass-produced 100% electric car, the Nissan Leaf, was elected as the European Car Of The Year, we signed a memorandum of understanding with the Municipality of Athens for an e-mobility infrastructure project. In 2020, we introduced the first electric Leaf taxi, and the solar panel complex at the facilities of Nic. J. Theocarakis S.A. in Aspropyrgos was completed. In 2021 the respective installations in Kalochori, Thessaloniki and on Athinon Avenue, Athens were also completed. All of the above are clear evidence of our strategic choice for investments in green growth, which is also demonstrated by one of our previous initiatives «Environment. We reward recycling”. Nic. J. Theocarakis S.A. has in fact
already been certified for its operation according to the ISO 1400/2004 international environmental standard.
The new mild Hybrid Qashqai, the latest of a model that has invented and established
an entirely new category in the market, is already among us, the 100% electric, innovative Ariya is expected soon and there is more to come. The future is here. We are welcoming it together, already prepared. And we are ready to shape it together. Standing steadily
on the solid foundations created along these past sixty years, having faith in our values, for which we are proud of, and in our dreams. Because life is made of the ingredients
of our dreams.
