1977-1979
Law 614/1977 amended the Traffic Code of 1962 and two years later, it was supplemented with Law 894/1979. The 1977 Traffic Code was in force for fifteen years and
was revised in 1992.
The 1979 legislation provided that a joint decision of the Ministers of Spatial Planning, Housing and the Environment
and Transport set
"the permissible limits on content of substances harmful to human health and products that pollute the environment from gases emitted
by vehicles".
